About
Attune Books publishes books, audiobooks, and workbooks about relationships, attachment, and self-care — written for women, grounded in research, and made to be read rather than studied.
The idea
There is a large body of research on adult attachment: how people bond, move close, and pull away. Most of it is written for clinicians, in language built for other clinicians. Very little of it reaches the person lying awake at 2am wondering why he has gone quiet.
That is the gap we publish into. We take what the research actually says and put it in plain language — no jargon, no diagnosis, no pretending you need a degree to follow it.
Explanation, then a next step
Every book here pairs an explanation with something to do. An insight you cannot act on is just a nice sentence.
So when a chapter explains why your system reads distance as danger, it also tells you what to do the next time you feel it — before you reach for your phone, not after.
What we publish
Four things, and only four: ebooks, audiobooks, workbooks, and bundles of those. No courses, no memberships, no subscriptions. You buy a book once and it is yours. Audiobooks and ebooks read right in your browser — nothing to install.
What we are not
Not a clinic. Nothing we publish is therapy or diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for care from someone who knows you. Our books are books.
Not a coaching brand. You will not find scripts to make someone chase you, countdown timers, manufactured scarcity, or promises about transforming your life by Friday. Where something is not known, we say so.
Not a book of affirmations. The prompts are grounded in the research they came from, and we will tell you where that is.
Secular by design
Attune is secular. The work draws on psychology and research rather than faith or spiritual practice. That is a deliberate choice about what we can stand behind, not a comment on anyone else’s.
